Access Box AI Home, a new conversational workspace for you and Box AI

Use "Box AI Home" to chat with AI about any content you have view access in Box, revisit past conversations, explore insights across multiple documents, choose a specific folder to search, or use a broader scope across your Box content. You can also upload files from your desktop to add more context to your questions.

1. How To Access Box AI Home

Click the AI menu to access the Box AI Home.

1. Box Agent (= Box AI)

All Nike Box users have access to Box Agent (default) for all AI queries.

2. + Sources

Click to specify your content for Box AI to work on. (Note: Box Hubs are in the pilot mode and limited to the approved use cases only.)

3. Get help with prompts

You can view recent Box AI sessions or customize prompts to better fit your needs. Visit Prompt Library for sample templates or create a custom prompt and save it for the later use.

4. History

Review your past inquires, start a new session or view the full history.
(Note: You don’t have access to the Box AI studio at Nike.)

Box Secure Settings - Keep It Tight

LEARN HOW TO KEEP IT TIGHT

Protecting sensitive Nike data starts with the right folder settings, shared link related access types —and a few extra safeguards. Use the recommendations below to reduce accidental or unauthorized sharing.

1. RESTRICT ACCESS (In Folder Settings)

Only add collaborators who need the information (select "Invited people only" for more restricted access).
Use least-privilege roles (i.e. assess "Viewer" vs "Editor" when necessary).
Set only owners and co-owners can send collaborator invites.
Restrict collaboration to within Nike, Inc. only for all internal-only accessed folders.

2. LIMIT SHARED LINK ACCESS (In Folder Settings)

Check your shared link settings - select " only collaborators can access through shared links " if necessary.
By default - the Access Type i s set for " People in your company ". Change it to " Invited People Only " if necessary.

3. UPDATE LINK SETTINGS : Set Shared Link Expiration and Limit Download Capability

Set an appropriate expiration date on shared links if necessary.
Turn off the download option when users only need to view files.

4. GET FOLDER INSIGHTS : Monitor, audit and take actions

Review the file and folder level activity logs and review them regularly.
Remove access immediately when someone no longer needs it.
Report suspicious behaviors and report it to ncdc@nike.com .

5. ADD EXTRA PROTECTION : Add Watermarks & Learn More About Security

Apply watermarks to files (including videos) and folders to discourage unauthorized redistribution and leaks.
Use the Folder Request Link to receive information anyone safely and securely.
Visit the Security page and learn more about additional resources to keep your Box content secured.

KEY TAKE AWAYS

Box Folder Settings allow owners and co-owners to configure permissions, security, and notifications for folders and subfolders. Click ••• (More options) on the folder, then select "Settings".

Select " only owners and co-owners can send collaborator invites ".
Select " Restrict collaboration to within Nike, Inc. " for the internal-only access folders.

2. LIMIT SHARED LINK ACCESS

In Folder Settings

Check your shared link settings - select " only collaborators can access this folder via shared links ".

WHAT ARE THE SHARED LINK ACCESS TYPES?

Shared Links are a common way to share content inside and outside Nike. The most important tip you can share with your peers at Nike is, "Do not select the " People with the link " access type" for folders .
Here’s why :

" People with the link " makes the folder publicly accessible.
That public access only lasts several minutes .
* After that short window, the link automatically changes to the default access type , " People with the company ," which disables public access and limits the folder to internal Nike users.

Tip : If you need to share folders with external people, always invite them as collaborators.

3. UPDATE LINK SETTINGS

Take Action On The Shared Link Settings For Folders

Set an appropriate expiration date on shared links if necessary.
Turn off the download option when users only need to view files.

4. GET FOLDER INSIGHTS

A FOLDER OWNER OR CO-OWNER CAN FIND OUT WHO IS ACCESSING WHAT AT THE FOLDER LEVEL

Detect unusual access patterns that might indicate potential risks and Keep It Tight .

5. ADD EXTRA PROTECTION

ADD WATERMARKS AND LEARN MORE ABOUT SECURITY

Box Watermarking & Annotations Are Available For Video Files

WATERMARK & ANNOTATE VIDEO FILES

With this highly anticipated feature, you can now protect and share your video files with visible watermarks!

WATERMARK VIDEOS

Watermarking places a semi-transparent overlay of the current viewer's email address or IP address (depending on whether the viewer is logged in or not), as well as time of access across the document's contents. If you have an editor permissions or higher, you can enable watermarking at a file or folder.

ANNOTATE VIDEOS

You can now…

Leave time‑stamped comments,
Draw on‑screen annotations (freeform or square), and
Use @ mentions to leave clear, contextualized, and action-oriented feedback.

On Box online, you can mark up almost any file with your comments, without using another application, directly on Box online feature (web or mobile). Click to open a File Activity pane if it’s hidden to make comments visible. Learn more in this user guide .

What's Changed in November, 2025

Unified Files browser: replaces the separate Files,
and Canvas tabs and provides access to content in an intuitive and natural way.
Tools tab : We've renamed the Automations tab to Tools and we've moved all the functionality of the Templates tab into Tools. If you had Automations in your navigation bar already, you'll see the new Tools tab instead.
Directory view : Consolidates the People, Channels, and External tabs.

Conditional Branches Are Here in Workflow Builder!

Empower your team to create more dynamic, responsive workflows that adapt to the unique needs in a variety of situations.

You can now supercharge your workflows with conditional branches—no coding needed. This feature lets your workflows adjust their path based on specific conditions you set.

Highlights

A branch can respond to most types of user input, including text inputs in forms and buttons.
Each branch can contain up to ten custom rules and also include a fallback if none of the rules are met.
Every branch gets its own name and can even be color coded .
Being a visual tool, the rules within a branch can be reordered via dragging and dropping, and even duplicated entirely.

Branching simply makes workflows more powerful. Now you can build basic logic into your workflows for routing requests to the right channels or people, pull in the correct team based on the severity of an issue, etc.

Box Just Made Collaboration Easier with Enhanced @Mentions Features in Box Notes!

What’s New?

When you’re creating content, you can @mention anyone—not just the usual collaborators like editors or viewers.

If your Note is shared via a shared link, everyone who has access through that link can be @mentioned! For example, if your shared link is set so “people in your company” can view or edit the Note, then anyone at Nike becomes mentionable. (Previously only the invited collaborators could mentioned.) Imagine how much quicker it’ll be to loop in the right people at exactly the right moment.

But wait — there’s more! Every time you @mention someone, they get an email notification. That means no more missed messages or forgotten feedback. Collaboration just got smoother with real-time alerts driving faster responses and better teamwork.

And because we know clarity matters when you’re deep into editing, the way @mentions look within your Notes is also refreshed. They now stand out more and are easier on the eyes—so you never lose track of who needs attention.

Support for combining integration cards + other shapes in dynamic tables!

What's new?

We've made planning with dynamic tables in Lucid even more flexible.

You can put integration cards like Jira/ADO cards in the same integration pivot (like Sprint/Parent/Team/etc.) as other shapes!

This will work for normal Lucid Cards , sticky notes and other shapes that you bring into the table.

Jira Quick Import For Timelines

You can now sync Jira and Azure DevOps queries with a timeline in Lucid!

With this functionality, you can:

Add a JQL (Jira Query Language) query with a timeline - importing those work items into a timeline in one click.
Sync the query by selecting the timeline and clicking the " sync " icon. This will bring new items in that now meet the query parameters and (optionally) remove items that no longer meet the query's parameters.

Download a report (.csv) to a designated folder of your choice.

IMPORTANT:

Reports are not instantaneously generated and it may take up to 30 plus minutes to generate a report — insights are automatically generated based on existing activity data!

1. A Slash Button Will Appear In Your Message Composer

Starting August 11 , click the new slash button to access any apps or workflows including the Workspace Management App. This means that the Plus Sign will now only be used for composing content such as attaching files from your computer or recent files.

2. "Saved items" Becomes "Later"

If you are currently storing messages in " Saved items ", they will appear in the Archived tab within the new Later menu item in your sidebar at the top. In addition, for any new reminders you set for yourself will appear in your Later menu item.

Microsoft Internet Explorer Users,

Microsoft will be ending support for Internet Explorer 11 on June 15, 2022 .

At any time following this date, you may encounter a degraded experience or be unable to connect to Box when using Internet Explorer 11 or using IE11 mode on Microsoft Edge.

Box recommends that you update your Microsoft Internet Explorer browsers to Microsoft Edge or any other supported browsers listed under the Web Browsers section to avoid any disruption and to continue for a fully supported Box web app experience.
